can easily Optimize a Personal YouTube Channel.
For this, you will need a Gmail address, should you not have it yet,
then I would like to refer you to the previous video and in it I explain how you create a Gmail.
To start Optimizing your Personal YouTube Channel, so that "A" it is easier found
in Google and in YouTube and to completely set up your YouTube Channel in
accordance with the guidelines of YouTube. We are first going to the top right
to the "Icon". We click on it.
Then you click on the "Cog" YouTube
Settings. You click on it. Then you go to: "View extra functionalities",
you click on it. And then you first check is the channel
verified? Then it will also say: "Verified Partner".
If this is not mentioned here for you, then you will still need to verify your channel.
For this, I made another video, so if you click in the top right on the

Then you click whether all 'bullets' are green.

everything is correctly enabled? Yes! Then we go to "Advanced", we click on
it. And you set your country to the Netherlands of course.
And you can set your keywords for you channel, your personal YouTube Channel.
Well in this case this would for example be: "Henk de Vries", because that is the name of
the Personal YouTube channel. But you can also use keywords that are specific
for your Personal YouTube Channel.
So let's say you do something "Gaming"
related and have a special "Minecraft" channel, then you can for example enter "Minecraft",
but do try to be specific, so in this case "Sales Coach", erm,
"Entrepreneur" "Trainer" etc. You scroll down and then you can fill out your website,
so let's say: www.Salescoachinternational.Nl you add this. Then you click on: "Save".
Now your channel is basically, all your channel settings are optimized. But
there are a number of things you can still do
to optimize your channel more or to personalize it more.
We click in the top right on the: "Icon".
We click on: "Creator Studio" Then you
click on: "View Channel". Then you click on the: "Pen" in the top right
or the "Pencil" Then you can "Edit links" and first
we are going to add a "Channel description" A channel description is actually the first
thing someone sees when you have uploaded a video Then you see a number of lines under the video
and someone can immediately see what your channel is about.
So in this case for example, erm, err "Henk".... De...Vries I am an online sales coach and
help entrepreneurs improve their online sales. Try to err let this description
match your: "who you are" as much as possible
And try to add as many relevant things that you do as possible here.
I'm going to keep it short for now, so you click on "Done".
Next you can add your email address,
so for example info@salescoachinternational.Nl "Done". And you can "Add links"
We click on this: "Add", so let's say you have a LinkedIn. Well then
you put: LinkedIn, "LinkedIn.Com/Salescoachinternational". You click on: "Done".
Well then you
can let's say you also have a Facebook, then
you do Facebook, and you do Facebook.Com/salescoachinternational You click on: "Done"
Well you can place up to 5 links and you see also that your LinkedIn that
we just created here, it is visible here in the top. So this is actually your:
"About us" A very important detail, so that you show
YouTube what your channel is about, and on the other side real visitors will
immediately understand what you're all about. And so it helps for a better indexing with YouTube
and Google. And actually at this moment you now have
assuming that you also created and set up your Personal YouTube Channel in accordance with
the guidelines.
