iPhone X Unboxing!!!!!!

Hey guys, how's it going? I am so excited right now. Because in front of me is the new iPhone X, and I am shaking. I am shaking with excitement. And I would say that this is an official official unboxing, but I actually could not even wait until I got home.

So I kind of already pre-opened this at my friend's house. So here is my initial reaction of my first moment with the iPhone X. I'm freaking out! *Gasp* It's beautiful. Oops, I put it on backwards! Upside down! Oh no, I made a mistake! So now I waited until I got home, and I put it back in the box, but it's clearly already turned on and already set up.

But this is a re-unboxing, I guess you could say. Ta-da~ Reveal! So let's go through some of this. I was already digging through here because I had to get the SIM card ejector so that I could immediately, as fast as I could, get my SIM card out of my iPhone 8 and into the X immediately. And I just looked down in this box and it already recognized my face.

So~ What do you know? Face ID is fantastic. But more on that, more on that. Let's get into what else is inside of the iPhone X box. We've got our little pamphlet here.

And there is the SIM card ejector which I actually put right back in. I re-boxed this thing for this unboxing. I mean would you take a look at this. This is something that I'm sure many of you have seen before and maybe-- *~ding~* Ugh, "Jenny Ezarik tweeted." OK, we need to turn off my watch notifications.

SIM card ejector, you get the point. We've got our fantastic wonderful beautiful stickers. Look. At.

This. Next up we've got another piece of paper with a lot of text on it. I don't want to be bothered with that, but what is this? Welcome to iPhone. It's kind of crazy when I unboxed the...

I forget what it was. Oh, it was the iPod Shuffle. It was brand-new, and it was so crazy. Just to sort of see all the old documentation and the things that they thought were important to include.

So now here we are, iPhone X. Here's what it looks like. We've got our face ID setup. What is this? Oh wh- Oh, I thought that was a little piece of some sort of tape, but it is a little arrow that is showing you how to use your home button which is no longer there.

Swipe up. What else do we have in here? Nothing. And here it is. Beautiful iPhone X.

It's shining, it's shimmering, it's splendid, it's beautiful. It's perfect and it is everything and more that I'd hoped that this phone would be. I just almost dumped everything out. It's already on.

It's already set up so I can spare you guys that whole setup process, and I just unlocked it. Face ID. Wow it's incredible. Let's take a look at the back and it really is much more amazing in person.

I mean the glass shines right through into the silver back. It has the stainless steel bands all the way around the edge. And it really does remind me--oh yes, actually of the 3GS. This was not what I was grabbing for but this reminds me a lot of the 3GS.

There it is. The stainless steel all the way around it. But really you guys have seen that before let's take a look at the X. I'm trying not to shake, but I'm shaking with excitement.

This is a perfect time for a slow-mo iPhone X montage. So when you first turn it on it's kind of crazy because it does take some getting used to. You now swipe up to open. Swipe down on the right for your control center, and if you swipe down at the top or on this left hand side, that'll take you to your notification center.

A lot of people like to close apps, so to do that you just swipe up and you hold. So you just pause here for a little bit. You can switch to the apps that you want to get to or you can close them. Press and hold, and that will give you the option to delete, and you swipe up.

Or you can hit right here up at the top and that will delete all of your open apps that you'd no longer want to use. One of the things that I really like that's on the home screen is they have access to the flashlight and the camera right there. I feel like those are the two things that I'm always struggling to find especially when I'm walking my dog, or if something really cool is happening, and I'm like I gotta get to my camera, I got to get to it, it's right there. So you can just click on the camera or you can swipe over to give you quick access to your camera.

So you got two options. Click here or swipe over. Let's see what else is in this box. So we've got the regular power brick.

Of course, this is something that I'm sure many of you have seen before. And inside here we've got our ear pods. Right here. Ear pods in the front and your dongle in the back.

At this point I've lost so many dongles that I probably could have bought an entire new phone with how much I've spent on dongles. But now that I have air pods, I don't actually ever need the dongles anymore, so it's quite the iPhone dilemma. We've also got in here one of the lightning cables, but you can never have too many lightning cables. Get outta there.

One of the things that people made fun of the most about the iPhone X is the notch at the top. And for whatever reason, it really has not bothered me at all. I was one of those that made fun of it and to be completely honest with you, I didn't even notice that it was a thing. It just sort of seamlessly integrates into the phone.

And another thing that I like is when I was going to delete apps, there's a little notification up here that says done. Whereas before most people would normally hit the home button. But now there's not a home button so you can just hit right up there, click done, and you're ready to go. I was also very surprised how quickly I adapted to not having a home button.

At this point, it's like I didn't even ever have one to begin with. One thing that I was worried about when I would get in my car because I always use my phone for directions, I thought since it's kind of far away because it's sitting on my dashboard that it wouldn't be able to read my face and unlock if I reached my hand over and guess what? It did. And it was dark and everything just worked perfectly. It was quite surprising because it was one of the things that I was most worried about.

So I want to show you guys how easy it is to set up face ID. I'm gonna go through here, and I'm gonna delete my previous face, and I'm gonna add my new face, which is ironically the same face, but whatever. So right in here you have the face ID and passcode. And it asks you to enter your passcode.

So I'll enter that. Here's the option to reset face ID, so we will do that right here. So I'm gonna do a screen capture so I can show you guys the setup process for face ID. So look-it, the new screen capture is right up here on the top to let me know that it's recording, so you guys can see that's usually where this entire screen would be taken up but right here it's just this little small corner.

So let's go into face ID and we're gonna add my new face, which is the same face that I added before. So we're gonna click get started. And, oh wow, that's a look. So let me position my face in the frame and move the phone a little lower.

Lower, OK. There it is. So move your head slowly to complete the circle. Continue.

Move your head slowly to complete the circle. That's what I'm doing. Face ID is set up. So that's it.

So as you swipe up you will see that it's looking for my face, looking for my face, can't find it, but now we're gonna just go like this. Look at my face, and it's unlocked. It is absolutely magic. Now I know that you guys have seen this before on Android phones.

I've used it in my Note 8, I used it in my Samsung S8, but it's so different when it's in the palm of your hand and you're using it on an iPhone. And one of the things that I love about Apple is they're not usually first to do things, but when they do finally implement it they are the ones that make whatever it is that they are doing mainstream. So now I think face ID is going to be the new mainstream. One of the things that I found was very shocking is the animojis, and I've seen demos of it, I had tried it at the Apple event when they first announced it, but actually trying it and seeing it in person is kind of amazing.

Seeing the expressions of a poop emoji mimic my expressions is kind of something that you really do need to experience in real life. Now I'm gonna try and do a quick little demo for you, so you can see exactly what I'm talking about. So I'm going to go into my sister's message here. So hopefully I can kind of show you guys this at the same time.

Let's go to the poop emoji, and it sees me, and as you can see, I'm raising my eyebrows right here. Do you see it on this camera? The poop is also raising its eyebrows, so let's do this. 'Hey, Jenna. I'm just doing another test here on the new iPhone X.

And for some reason AH!' I feel like every time I started doing a demo of this my face starts getting weird. I start talking weird and just making ridiculous facial expressions. And watching somebody else demo the animojis I think is even more enjoyable than actually demoing it yourself. So let me know when you guys first see somebody actually doing this in real life.

"I'm just doing another test here on the new iPhone X. And for some reason AH!" Another thing that I thought was pretty cool is not only can you send the animojis as a movie file, you can save it. But you can also send them as stickers so if you want to just send a still sticker just like you would send any normal iMessage stickers, all you have to do is make that facial expression, tap and hold on the animoji with that expression, and drag and drop it into iMessage. Just like that.

And Jenna is just loving this just as much as I am. So I want to show you guys the size comparison between the X and the iPhone 8. And it's crazy to me because this screen is beautiful. It is technically edge to edge.

Aside from the small notch that's cut out. But what's insane is how small this phone is in my hand. To go from using this for the past several years to a phone that is significantly smaller, but yet the screen is actually larger than on the 8. It's kind of messing with my mind because it's very hard to comprehend and because the phone is actually smaller it makes me feel like the screen is smaller, but it's actually not when you hold it up next to this.

So it's basically taking this 10 and putting it on top of the 8 and essentially, it's just a screen it is just a screen. But it is a very significant size difference. So if you see these guys next to each other this one is almost the size of the iPhone 8. Not Plus, which I have here.

This is actually shocking. This is the iPhone 8, and this is the iPhone X. And they are almost the same size. I'm kind of freaking out right now, looking at this in comparison to each other.

Because I had no idea that the 8 would almost be the same size as the X. Very similar in size. The 8 is slightly smaller. If we put them up side by side just like this-- Here's the 8 and this is the X.

Obviously you can tell by the vertical cameras. I'll be doing a camera test later, so you guys can check that out, but in the meantime can we just stop and stare? Cue the OneRepublic song. "Stop and stare~" iPhone X in comparison to the original iPhone right here. Started from the bottom now we're here.

IPhone X vs 3GS. Can ya take a look? IPhone X vs iPhone 7 Plus. At the time of making this video I've only had it for about half of a day and in that half of a day it has far exceeded my expectations. And that's something that I didn't actually think was possible.

Like I was excited for this phone and now I'm really really excited for it, and it's in the palm of my hands. So guys, I just wanted to give you a quick little look of the new iPhone X. I have so many more fun videos for you guys coming out so if you're not already subscribed to my channel, make sure you guys click subscribe. So if we take a picture of Michael right here yeah, and then we go to portrait mode You can see it punches in what dude But that could just be solved by zooming in *Matthias's opening music* What's going on guys I am Matthias and welcome to a brand new video where I unbox the iPhone 10 But I don't stop there. I'm actually gonna walk around the office to see My landlord told me the rent was do. I gave him my iphoneX.   Impressions of my co-workers see what they think about this iPhone if it's worth it if it's not if it's dope or if it's nope Also, Michael is joining me here.

He's a new face to the Channel show your face Michael What's up, guys sweet you too long there you go? I feel like most of you clicking this know a decent amount about the iPhone 10 if you don't it's Apple's new flagship phone That is quite expensive, and it's like an all screen design It's a new updated iPhone finally after a long long time because like for instance this phone right here That's my beautiful daughter right here How long is it looked like this iphone 6 iphone 6 plus iphone 7 iphone 7 plus iphone 8. I don't know exactly It's like three or four years crazy long time This is the iPhone 10 And this is what it looks like now one of the things about this particular phone is the fact that it's got the face ID. Recognition there's no fingerprint recognition which a lot of people are having a lot of problems with it Also has that awkward little forehead right there this bar right here? It's full of the sensor the camera the face recognition sensors I'm super stoked to get into this just because I'm like iPhone 7 plus is giant And I can't be walking up to people all the time and they're like are you happy to see me? Or is that just iPhone 7 your pocket? What's your what's your impression of this I think I'm about my pocket Dough, marina my assistant went and picked this up for me while we are filming all day here all right I got a charge on my card, and it was not cheap this phone is expensive 256 gigabyte version of this phone after tax like twelve hundred and fifty eight dollars crazy money for a phone all right here we go boom Got a good weight to it. That's definitely for sure.

It's got a good weight. You got the ear pods in there They are not air pods. You'd think they might be air pods for $1,200 dude just the generic stuff the Apple headphones the charger looks the same as always I'm gonna take this I'm gonna take the seven-plus out of its case right Boom, that's the seven plus This is the iPhone 10 this phone They say has a bigger screen than this one, but let's find out I was like it's not turning on dude That feels nice, dude That feels nice. Hello wow that is a big screen so now if you can get an idea for the size of the screen It's definitely longer if I match up the bottom of the screen you can see how much taller The iPhone 10 is if I match it up this way It's a little more narrow.

You can see the power button here is much much bigger, which I'm gonna like a lot better Just simply because you can feel it better. You can feel it in your hand and there's no home button okay this is the biggest difference one of the biggest differences the way They are able to get the screen to be the entire front of the device save for these sensors up here is by Eliminating the home button so now instead of pressing that home button you swipe This feels about the size of an iPhone 7 by its own fingerprint magnet though I'm really nervous though, so it could just be my sweaty palms may take a few minutes to activate your phone Try again try again Try again phone can recognize the unique three-dimensional features of your face to unlock Automatically first position your face in front of the camera frame then move your head in a circle. Here you go That's found my face move your head slowly First face ID scan complete second face face ID is now set up. That's my password guys don't hack me, please Please don't hack me tell my dad says Hey, Siri.

How's the weather today? My dad talks like that hey Siri. It's me your Close friend here is the iPhone 10 got the doc down here you got all your apps It's classic right. I have so much mail dude. Oh my gosh Top corner is how you get to your control center up here is how you get to your notifications? You can still swipe left to go to your past Widgets and things like that and you swipe up Its the home button now which is going to trip me out for sure because I'm so used to swiping up and seeing my control Center it's gonna.

Be hard to get used to that's for sure Let's check out some of our our little portraits or a little uh how do you do this portrait camera? I'm gonna test out the camera settings right now, so you guys get a better idea of how this works I'm gonna go to portrait mode and we're gonna test out this new Selfie because most people are super curious about that right, so this is a natural light I'm just really curious about what it looks like without it. This is what it looks like with that This is natural light probably the regular light with the defocusing effect, then we go studio light Contour light stage light background is too far. What does that even mean? It's definitely changing the lighting of my face, which is interesting the effect is not super dramatic It could be that little thing that you need to get those selfies sweet for Instagram for you to find that date. Oh wow Wow hahaha I.

Just really really don't get this but If you like it Hats off to you my dude hats off to you Well, I'm sure you have some fun with it But that's not for me so now the question is what will my co-workers think of this phone Let's find out whether they ready dope or a news oh Alright Wow gee let's see what people think And your phone did whoa don't touch. It didn't I'm just kidding dude. This feels really white and slick light and slick, right Well, it's like wick you need my face to unlock. Oh, that's right I was like wondering why I kept like jiggling the lock oopsie.

It just unlocked you got too many emails The slickness of it it picks up so many fingerprints yeah, I mean look at that Just look look at how many fingerprints isn't that super greasy I? The lack of home button, I thought was kind of cool the bottom of it like it threw me off at first I was like why does that look weird, okay? So yeah? I like it You know how to get out of it and everything like that the question now is is it a dope, or is it no? This is the Tex dude that's interesting I don't like how there's no home button that really bothers me like hailey. I'm luck it might unlock it I like the rounded screen. I don't know if I'm gonna get it yet Mm-hmm, but like I mean it's a pretty penny. I'm still paying off my phone right now 7s 7 That's tight though why is that of two cameras what's the difference one is the wide-angle lens and one is Not a wedding lens for like portrait mode and things like that so so if we take a picture of Michael right here Yeah, then we go to portrait mode.

You can see it punches in life, dude But just been solved by zooming in Not necessarily because the more you lose quality you lose quality I say is dope I phone 10 my Have no idea how it works or anything swipe up to open there you probably read directions Oh, so you have facial recognition already set up on a bit set up Yeah, okay, okay, let's test that out then Oh like yeah, it's not you got the giant beer dude. It's not gonna work There you go, I locked This screen has to be engaged which is kind of cool, too And you can't do it when your eyes are shut either you have to be away to the so like your girlfriend Can't go like pop peek into your phone So if you go to an app and you swipe up and hold that's how you switch oh I actually didn't even know that I think it's quicker. I like it and I like the fact that there's no bezel I see dope believe it or not though. I will say yeah when I first got an ounce I thought was a stupidest idea ever Oh Jay Check it out guys Well, that's the care army.

Oh, did I get mine hmm? Didn't tell you do that listen I like my iPhone for better or no ker you don't with a nice little screen see if you can hack it space-age Oh, yeah, yeah, there's no way you'll be able to hack this. It's not working already Tried oh it's ridin. It's not working. You need to read your emails yeah about nine thousand emails Why is that the thing that everyone mentions? I feel like the swipe is more natural.

Oh, that's terrible It's not great lighting. No. It's the fake bokeh it puts around you. It's pretty bad for the Forward-facing camera.

Yeah, it's not great, but the rear-facing cameras not bad new iPhone though all that is so cool That is great. So you have like a whole bunch more apps Yeah, you can put like one more row maybe so okay, so when you lock the phone How do you you have to look at you have to look at it? Swipe up from the bottom. Oh there you go oh Okay oh You just Calle iPhone 10. This is cool really hear this.

Okay. This kind of bugs me a little bit the bezel or the Forehead yeah, but I mean hey, I'll end up getting it eventually right What do you think that about the lack of the home button yeah, that's right wait. What do you do? I can't remember? Oh, yeah, oh wait. It's a face the face recognition.

So you use your face to go home oh? Yeah, good pretty pretty simple It seems like from the way most people are using it that it's pretty intuitively like Designed in the sense that like people just organically naturally do that overall I like it I don't know. It's not that different. I feel like so you say dope or no I say dope ten nice yeah Hey, win, you look sad? He's like You'll get used to it within a day of gives you that iPhone 10 what yeah seriously in that coal Well see a reaction of it. I don't really believe it's Like a prank or something You can see it's - 10 dude.

Yeah, I know I believe he's comparing he's comparing didn't believe me until you bear - dude It's so weird that it comes up like so all the way down to the bottom isn't that weird yeah? You have a lot of email yes * laugh's* What do you say dope or no Mmm. How much is it 1200? It's dope I would just have to wait a while to get one See this video right there that is a video that YouTube thinks you will enjoy and Let me tell you it's sweet sweet alarum. Hua please click it if you want to help out the channel That's all you need to do is just watch another video it tremendously Helps us out, so thank you very much for being a part of this channel, and we'll see you next time high five.

iPhone X Review

iPhone X Review
Image source: https://www.imore.com/sites/imore.com/files/styles/larger_wm_blw/public/field/image/2017/10/iphone-x-hero.jpg?itok=mMudvq6w
- [Matthew] The iPhone 10 is
packed to the gills with risk. Dozens of new technologies,
new input mechanisms, several manufacturing firsts, and an incredibly aggressive
timeline to launch. It's clear that Apple
needs this to go off right, but how did they execute? Most iPhone reviews are done
like technically-savvy writers put them in through their
paces locally or in a lab. My thesis was this just wasn't how most people actually use their phones, that it created a focus
on the wrong things.

Instead, what if you took
an iPhone to a place where millions of people
travel every year and use the absolute crap out of it
for several days straight? That, I thought, would lend
itself to a much more accurate through line between me
fiddling with an iPhone for a few days and what the average buyer might be able to divide
about how it works for them. So, I took the iPhone 10 to Disneyland. I'll get right to the point. Most of you probably wanna
know whether Face ID works, it does.

Face ID works very, very, very well. It worked the vast majority
of times I tried it, it never once unlocked using a picture of myself or another person's face. And the failure rate seemed to be about the same as Touch ID, aka, almost never. The Face ID also enables
some other cool things, one prominent example of the
way that Face ID enables this, is that you get notifications,
text messages, and apps that are private by default.

iPhone X Review the Original iPhone

iPhone X Review the Original iPhone

Steve Jobs: "...And we are calling it iPhone. Today, Today, Apple is going to reinvent the phone." Sup peeps. Sonny here, and this is iPhone X, the crazy expensive iPhone 10 years later. And you know what? Craziness aside, I really like it.

For the right person I think the X is a really good option. It finally feels like a new iPhone. Like something new. And the crazy part is that Apple is really pushing for change whether you want it or not because frankly, people will buy it.

Now, I'm not saying that I would have gone out and bought the X because it's Apple and I'm a sheep. This is my first iPhone, and I'm still gonna keep my Android device. But there are some things that I think need to change and Apple is going in the right direction. Sort of.

The X is by no means perfect. You either really hate it or you've accepted it. And at this point, you probably already had your mind made up. So, here's why I went with the iPhone X.

First of all, iMessage is probably the main reason why I switched over from Android. It's more convenient for my work because everyone else I work with uses an iPhone And I'm the one messing things up. Fine. Fair enough.

But I could've gone for the 7th or the 8th for the exact reason. But the thing is is that I'm ready for change. I'm ready for the next new thing, and I want to see what Apple is doing and give it a try. So with the iPhone X, There are a couple of fundamental features that make it what it is and one of the most recognizable features of the iPhone 10 is the display.

It's a 5.8 Inch OLED display with a weird resolution of 2436 by 1125 and it looks really good. It is super bright. It's got great contrast and the colors are amazing. The screen reaches all the way to the rounded corners.

And at this point, It's practically bezel-less. I mean it's 2017. Smartphones have smaller bezels. That's just how it is and the X is keeping up.

But in order for Apple to do this, They've omitted the home button. It is completely gone. At first glance, It looks really weird, and I thought I miss having a fingerprint sensor. But, face ID is really good.

It works at night in total darkness. And on the other end of the spectrum, it works on a sunny day with my sunglasses on. And now that it's winter and it's cold outside, I'm wearing gloves and I can still unlock my phone. Now, I think it's a little over the top to call the iPhone X.

The $1,000 animoji machine. Sure. It's like the one thing to show off clout. But, don't get it just for animoji.

It's cute and it's extremely fun, but I think, in such a novel way, It's showing off the potential behind the technology for FaceID. But you know, now you know I have an iPhone X. The camera is pretty top notch. DxOMark gave it an overall score of 97.

But, it's not as good as the Pixel 2 XL. I think the Pixel 2 crushes stills. Dynamic range. White balance.

Color accuracy. I prefer the way the Pixel 2 handles it. Portrait mode is a little interesting. Pixel 2 seems to outline the body really well and then blur the background in a more natural way.

But, the sharpening makes it pretty noticeably unrealistic Whereas the iPhone behaves more like the front of your face is the plane of focus and then everything else kind of gets blurred. Again, still prefer the Pixel 2's image quality. But, theoretically, It's all software. So the iPhone 10 could get better in a future update.

And of course, all that stuff is housed in the forsaken notch. Honestly, I don't even notice it especially when watching videos But because most content is 16 by 9, it almost feels like you're watching stuff on an iPhone 8 until you pinch to zoom. And then you start to notice it. And of course, it's cropped.

So, it looks like this. Because of this, I could definitely go for a bigger version of the iPhone X. But, this got me thinking... "Is 2:1 the future of content," because the X is not the only phone in 18:9, and most content is consumed on mobile devices.

But you know, I'm still wishing I could easily see my percentage without going in control center and view my recent emojis an iMessage like the TouchBar. Now since there's no buttons, Apple is relying on gestures to work the phone. And in practicality, I think this works better because now anything can be in that part of the screen and it's more efficient in that way. I've actually gotten quickly adjusted to the gestures.

But it's not to say whole gesture thing is a perfect solution. For instance, to check your notifications, you have to swipe down for the top left corner Whereas control center is for the top right corner. Seems simple enough. But that's almost a two-hand gesture in a way to do it comfortably without dropping a rack.

You can go into settings and enable Reachability. But then, swiping off from the bottom edge makes it a two-step process. Even in a horizontal app, it's now a double swipe up to get to the home screen making sure the bar at the bottom edge is active for the gesture to register. I will admit.

I was strongly against dropping the headphone jack. And, I'm pretty annoyed that I have to remember to carry around a dongle with me just to listen to music. Performance-wise, this phone is an absolute beast. It is buttery smooth.

It's got Apple's proprietary A11 chip, and it's just so optimized for iOS. Despite the ridiculously buggy iOS 11. But I mean, just holding the phone it feels great. It's real modern and premium feeling.

And it's probably, if not, the most shiniest phone out there which could potentially lead to slippage. Now normally, I usually hate the way cases feel. It adds too much bulk. It doesn't tend to hold up for too long with me And they get really nasty.

Not even gonna comment on the camera bump because it's not unusual in a phone these days. But because of how expensive this thing is, I felt a little paranoid these last few weeks going without a case. So I picked up a few dBrand skins. I'll leave a link to the ones I got down below.

I'm not affiliated with dBrands by any means. Like, all this is my own money And I prefer to be honest and not feel obligated to say something positive about everything So... There's your PSA. But anyhow, What do I think? I think the iPhone X is original as far as iPhones go For people who want a different experience and for those who are pretty flashy, I think this is a perfect buy What I recommend this is someone? No.

It's way too expensive..

iPhone X Review Is it really worth $1,000

Whats up guys. Wale here from Geek.NG. I got the iPhone 10 here. I know for a fact a lot of people call it
the iPhone X, but does it matter? So, I got this from Amazon late in November
and it arrived about two week ago.

Back in November when I made the purchase,
I had to pay $1,300. I know
its too much for a phone. Even at the official $1,000 price tag, its
still way too expensive. And Im gonna be honest here, this phone
isnt worth the price.

Maybe 700-800 dollars wouldve been perfect. Maybe. Im sure youre familiar with the specifications
and youve watched several other reviews of the iPhone 10, so Im definitely not
going over the specifications. But first, I have to say this: I really like
this phone, even with all the shortcomings.

Its a great phone, its pretty nice and
I absolutely love it. With home button gone, I thought it would
be difficult to to adjust. Over these past past 7 years, Ive owned
the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6s plus and iPhone 7 Plus. And its been the same old round home button.

With the iPhone 10, I was surprised I got
the hang of it in just about a day or two. Maybe its because Ive watched quite
a number of iPhone 10 videos before actually getting it. And the funny thing is, I started applying
iPhone 10 gestures to the iPhone 7 Plus. Thats how quick you get used to it.

And as a matter of fact, I dont miss the
home button any longer. Navigating the iPhone 10 is easy. Swiping the bottom bar lets you easily switch
between applications, and this is definitely one of my favorite features. I use it quite a lot.

Now swiping up and then to the right shows
you the regular app switcher. But then you have to press and hold to end
applications. Maybe that extra step couldve been avoided
with by applying 3D Touch and then swiping up. Navigating without the home button is quite
easy and you get used to it real quick.

But this new user interface can be pretty
annoying. Like you have to swipe down from the left
to see the battery percentage, VPN connection status and some other useful info you would
normally see on the status bar. But these are things you get used to with
time if the iPhone 10 is your daily driver. As for the build, this phone is actually smaller
than the iPhone 8 Plus and I guess a lot of people should be able to use it with one hand
compared with the previous Plus models unless, of course, you have super small hands.

The glass build is fragile. And except you love to live dangerously, you
should probably get a case. Im not gonna wait and watch it slip out
of my hand and then pay over $500 to repair it. Ive got a rugged transparent case for this
from Mosafe, You can find the link down in the video description.

Its transparent, its shockproof and
I like it. The iPhone 10 feels solid in hand though. Its heavier than the iPhone 8 but not as
heavy as the iPhone 8 plus. But, I wouldve preferred if it was bigger,
a 6.2-Inch screen like the Samsung Galaxy S8+ wouldve been perfect for someone like
me.

And the stereo speakers sound very good. Its got some some bass to it and its
the kind of sound you would expect from a $1000 smartphone. The speaker placement is brilliant. Youve got one here at the bottom.

This other grill is actually for the microphone. The second speaker is front-facing and its
integrated with the earpiece. The iPhone 10 has one of the best displays
out there. Its the first time Apple is putting an
OLED display on the iPhone even though its been on Apple Watch for a while now.

The display is what you would expect. Its crisp. Clear. And well saturated.

You have a 2436 by 1125 resolution on the
5.8-Inch screen. The iPhone display is finally catching up
with Samsung phones. P3 Color gamut support is a great addition,
but not everyone is going to find true-tone display useful. Ive left it turned on since day one and
its still on and I kind of like the automatic white balancing.

Still on the display, the only problem with
it is that same thing everyone is complaining about. The notch that cuts off part of it. But the truth is, you get used to it with
time. In portrait mode, you dont even know its
there.

Its a lot less annoying than I assumed. But in landscape mode, it can be a problem
when youre playing games or watching videos. At this point, I can only speak for myself
here. I mostly watch videos on the iPad Pro and
my gaming happens mostly on my PS4 console and the iPad Pro.

So, I hardly use the iPhone 10 in landscape
mode. But if you do, you might really hate that
notch. But then, Apple thinks youre gonna get
used to it and I wont be surprised if it becomes the iPhone signature for the next
10 years. Now, Face ID might be a new experiment for
Apple but it works pretty well.

Im sure you already know its very different
from the regular face unlock you have on existing devices. When it comes to picking up your existing
idea, modifying it and making you look stupid, Apple is brilliant. Instead of using your front-facing camera,
a 3D scan of your face is what the phone uses so it doesnt get fooled by a picture. This is done by bouncing several infra-red
lights on your face.

This works with artificial intelligence so
the phone keeps learning about your changing face I wish I could shave my beard to experiment
but NO. Anyway, whether you smiling, frowning or youve
got your face twisted in a weird way, the phone still knows its you. You can make it attention-aware, this wont
let Face ID unlock your phone if youre, you know, looking away. Or if youre sleeping and someone brings
the phone close to your face.

Its not gonna work. And for me, it works in pitch darkness or
bright sunlight. Its pretty convenient logging in to application
with keychain just looking at your phone. But there are times I really miss Touch ID.

Like when youre sitting, the phone is on
the table and you have to lean forward or pick up the phone before Face ID works. Apart from this, this success rate is almost,
almost as good as Touch ID. Youre only gonna hate Face ID if you have
an evil twin. And if you think its slower than Touch
ID, youre probably waiting for the lock icon to change before swiping up.

You dont have to. The camera is great, its amazing. But dont get too excited about the portrait
mode on the iPhone 10, its still nothing compared to what a DSLR does. And Portrait Lighting is still very much a
work in progress.

Actually Its really bad and I hope software
updates fix this. However, its a good thing you now have
Optical Image Stailization on the wide-angle and the telephoto cameras. Its a good thing you can finally shot in
4k at 60fps. Its also nice to be able to customize the
video settings and choose your desired resolution and frame rate.

To an average user, the iPhone camera quality
is still the pretty much the same as the iPhone 7 Plus. But the iPhone 10 seems to have a better dynamic
range and I think it gives less noise in low light. Animoji was the biggest feature of the iPhone
10 when it was launched and if youre big on iMessage, youre probably gonna like
it. When I got this phone, it was fun making weird
faces just too see what I was going to look like as a unicorn or a big brown poop.

I even did my own Animoji Karaoke but the
whole Animoji thing wore off after a while. But then, its the best way to tell people
youve upgraded to the new iPhone 10. If youre into that sort of thing. Battery life on the iPhone 10 good.

I mean normally, an average user should be
get through the day without charging. Based on my experience and use pattern, Im
very satisfied with the battery life. But then, you can drain it in 6 hours if youre
recording 4k videos or playing graphic-intensive games. And its gonna heat up.

Thats normal Other high-end devices in the market already
have wireless charging and as usual, Apple is late to the party. But its a good thing its on the iPhone
now. That explains why the back cover is made of
glass. The A11 Bionic chip on the iPhone 10 is a
monster.

The performance is crazy and with just 3GB
of RAM, the iPhone 10 now outperforms every existing smartphone in the market. The benchmark results prove this. On Geekbench 4, the iPhone 10 scores over
4,000 in single core processing and over 10,000 in multi-core processing. Its the highest any smartphone has ever
scored on the platform.

It the same on Antutu, over 200,000 points. Real life perforce is outstanding. Multitasking is great and overall, this is
definitely the fastest smartphone in the world right now. Well iOS 11 is still pretty much the iOS we
all know and not much has changed physically except for the the new gestures on the iPhone
10.

Im using iOS 11 on this and it comes with
its own little share of issue. There are times when stock apps are just unresponsive,
like the settings app. This happened like twice over this past week
and you have to go the home screen when this happens. Also, not all apps support the new iPhone
10 aspect ratio and such apps have black bars at the top and bottom, like youre using
them on an iPhone 8 or something.

But developers really are pushing out updates
and more apps are supporting the new iPhone. And finally, after years and years of waiting,
tap to wake if finally on the iPhone 10. That definitely makes up for the lack of a
home button. If youve been watching the video all the
way from the beginning to this point, you already know what I think.

Its a great phone, its may not be the
best phone you can buy right bow, but its the best iPhone you can buy right now. You can still go for the iPhone 8 if you dont
care about the old design thats already boring and the lack of a depth sensor at the
front for Animoji. But if youre still holding on to your iPhone 7 or an older iPhone, you
would be left out on whatever Artificial intelligence-related stuff apple plans to do with the new A11 Bionic
chip. Yeah, we all know its not a perfect phone. The notch is a reason for some to hate it.

The glass back cover is enough reason for
some to stick with the iPhone 7. But lets face it, the only real dealbreaker
here is the price. Its expensive and this phone isnt for
everyone. If you dont really need an iPhone and youre
not really that into Apples ecosystem, there are other phones out there you might
want to consider.

Cheaper phones but still powerful. Like the Galaxy note 8. If youre buying this, you already know
what youre getting and the price shouldnt be a problem. If youve already invested in Apples
ecosystem, you cant do without iCloud, and you think the iPhone is the perfect phone
for you, Apple knew you were going to pay that $1,000 when they made this phone.

Theyre not sending all those market survey
emails for nothing. Unfortunately, I belong in this category,
I went ahead to buy the iPhone 10 despite knowing this. Do I have any regrets? Not really. Im actually keeping the iPhone 10 and getting
rid of my iPhone 7 Plus.

Now, by next year, Apple is probably going
to have a better version of this new iPhone design with a bigger screen, they might integrate
Touch ID with the display and come up with a new A12 Atomic thats 50% faster than
what you have on the iPhone 10. And you know what happens? The iPhone 10 becomes just another old iPhone. Thats it! My review of the iPhone 10. If you like the video, please support this

- This video is sponsored by Squarespace. Whether you need a domain, website, or online store make it with Squarespace. What's up, YouTube, Saf
here on SuperSaf TV. In this video I'm gonna
be sharing with you my experience with using the iPhone X.

For around about a month now, although most people
tend to call it iPhone X. The one's I speak to anyway. Now, I'm not gonna be
going over any specs, or anything like that, because
if you're watching this video you probably already know all the specs. If not, check out my unboxing video, in which I go over everything in detail.

In this video I'm simply
gonna be sharing with you my experience in terms of what
I like about the iPhone X, what I don't like about it, what can hopefully be
improved for the next version. Now, to begin with, a lot
of you guys already know that I am primarily an Android user but, I always do have an iPhone
with me and I have had for quite a few years now. I've not liked an iPhone as much as I like the iPhone X for a very long time. The main reason for that has
been all the iPhones have looked pretty much the same
over the past few years.

Let's be honest, look at
the iPhone six, the 6S, the seven and even the
eight, they look practically the same. There's very minor design
changes between them and me personally, I
was getting very, very bored of that design,
so it's great that Apple have finally updated this
and I really like the new design of the iPhone X. First and foremost, we have
minimal bezels which allows us to have a larger display
and a relatively small phone factor and this
display is absolutely great. It's the best display on any iPhone and I'm so glad Apple
went with an OLED display.

The colors are more vibrant. The contrast ratio is so
much better compared to previous iPhones and
yes, I know a lot of you are gonna joke that, good job Samsung. And that's true, Samsung
have done a really good job on this and I'm so glad
Apple went with Samsung. Let's be honest, Samsung
do make the best displays out there, so the fact that Apple have gone with Samsung for this
display is a good thing for everybody.

Now this is also a true tone
display, so that means that it's gonna adapt the
white balance depending on where you are. I switched this off because
everything just looked too yellow for my eyes and
I do switch on a night shift when I'm in the dark but
I don't use true tone. Now one thing that a lot of
people have been complaining about when it comes to
the iPhone X display is this infamous notch. Personally, I don't mind it too much.

My opinion, it gives the
iPhone a very unique look. Like when you see this,
it's easily identifiable and it makes it stand out from the crowd. This is an iPhone and Apple
have really owned this notch. Could it be better utilized
with software? Yes.

Are Apple gonna really do much about it? Probably not. And after a bit, you kind
of get used to it and the only time you're probably
gonna have an issue with this is when you're watching
videos in full screen mode. Now, here's the thing. Most videos out there
are still in 16 by nine.

I mean, I'd say the
majority of videos online are in 16 by nine and
if you do go fullscreen, then you're gonna be losing
a bit on the top and bottom of your video and sometimes,
that can be a little bit annoying because people's
heads get cut off and things. So most of the time, when
I'm watching a video, it is still in 16 by
nine and that does result in black bars on the left and right but I've said this before. On a previous iPhone, those
black bars would've been there anyway but they would've
been there in the form of bezels. Yes, it's not ideal and
it's not the best use of this full screen but
most people use the device in portrait orientation
anyway and if you are mostly using your device
in portrait orientation, unless you're watching a
video, then the notch is gonna be okay for most people, I think.

Now we don't have a headphone
jack on the iPhone X. This was not a surprise for
anyone because we didn't have it last year. However, we do have some
good speakers on here. I'm glad that we've still
got stereo speakers.

Yes, they don't sound as good
as front firing speakers, but they still sound really good. Now, let's talk about face ID. I was initially quite
negative about face ID. But I've actually grown
to like it quite a bit.

It's super fast and it just works. So, just showing you
there how quick it was, very, very quick and easy to use but it's not ideal. I've said this before
and I'll say it again. I still think that a
fingerprint scanner here on the Apple logo in addition to Face ID.

Would've been really, really useful. So, let me give you an example. I personally check out my phone a lot when I'm in bed, right? Some of the times, I just
wanna pick up my phone, maybe just respond to a
quick message or kind of delay the alarm a little
bit or something like that and previously using
touch ID, that was really quick and easy to do. With face ID, if my face is
halfway sunken into the pillow, then face ID's not gonna work and then I'm gonna have
to kind of take my face out of the pillow to unlock
it and I don't really wanna be doing that when I'm half asleep.

This is something that is
definitely quite inconvenient. I couldn't unlock this with
my sunglasses before as well. There is a solution to
that which I've covered in a previous video. So, face ID is really good
but, personally speaking, if I was given the option
of face ID or a fingerprint scanner on the back, I would always choose the fingerprint scanner on the back.

Maybe that's just me but
I just think a fingerprint scanner would be much more
convenient and easy to use. Now, another thing that
supposedly came with face ID, which kind of isn't is Animoji. So, it looks like Animoji
primarily uses the front facing camera, not
the face ID sensors because if you cover them up, Animoji still works and Animoji doesn't
work in the dark either, which once again,
suggests that it is using primarily the front facing camera. Maybe some of the sensors
are being used a little bit to make a little bit better, I don't know.

But anyway, when it comes
to Animojis, I used them for the first day and then I've
not really used them since. Yes, it was a little
bit of fun and ya know, lots of people had a lot of fun with it and call me boring, call me old, whatever. I just didn't find myself
using Animoji again. It was one of those
things where the novelty really quickly wore off.

If you're into that
kind of thing, then hey, if you wanna become a monkey or some poo, then that's all up to you. Personally speaking, yes
it's a fun feature to have but the novelty wore
off very, very quickly. Now, one question that
a lot of people ask me is do I miss the home button
and the answer to that is, no, I really don't miss the home button. It's really quick and
easy just to swipe up and it's a very natural gesture as well.

So, when you're in an app
and everything, then it is really quick to do that. There is some situations
where it's longer. So say, for example, when
I go into my recent apps, before I could just close these, but now, I have to press and hold
before I can close them and it's just an additional
step which I don't really want. Now, I think what would've been nice is if they utilized the 3D
tough display to maybe have a home button area.

This is something that we've
got on the Samsung Galaxy S8. I'm not sure why Apple didn't
utilize 3D touch in this way. Again, not the biggest of
deals and I think most people will get used to it
after a couple of days. Another thing I really
like about the iPhone is how just smooth and quick
it is and that's thanks to the Apple A11 bionic chip.

Games load up really fast,
faster than most of the devices out there, but
multitasking isn't as good as it used to be. I'm assuming that's down
to iOS 11 and not being optimized although it
should've been optimized now 'cause iOS 11 has been
out for some time now. Hopefully, this will improve over time. I've had a few app crashes, in particular, in Instagram stories
where things just kinda tend to freeze, but generally speaking, the experience has been good overall.

Now let's talk about what
probably my favorite feature of the iPhone is and that is
this dual rear facing camera. You guys may have already
seen some of the SuperSaf style camera comparisons
that have been told and in my opinion, the
iPhone X has one of the best rear facing camera setups
on any smartphone right now. It has great dynamic range
and in some situations, not all, some situations,
I know some people are gonna hate on me for saying this, the dynamic range I
found was actually better than the Pixel 2 XL. The portrait mode as well
works really well on this and if you're somebody
who takes lots of pictures from the rear facing
camera, you are absolutely gonna love the iPhone X, no doubt and it shoots some great
quality video as well, up to 4K, 60 frames a
second, but not only that, it also shoots at 24 and
30 frames a second as well.

This is something that
we don't really find on many of the devices. They just have 4K, 30
frames a second, that's it. You can't really choose
different frame rates. Me personally, I like shooting
at 24 frames a second.

I just prefer that frame
rate and I can use that on the iPhone X. I can't use that on lots
of other devices out there. Now the only issue with
the different frame rates is that you can't change them
within the camera app itself. You need to go all the way
deeper than the settings to be able to change these,
which is really needless and it should be within the camera app.

But overall, the rear facing
cameras are absolutely great. Now, unfortunately,
the same cannot be said for the front facing camera. The best way I can describe
the front facing camera on the iPhone X, like
I've described on previous iPhones as well is that it's inconsistent. It tends to overexpose a lot
and there's so many times where things are absolutely
blown out and sometimes, they actually will work
okay but most of the times, in my experience, it
does overexpose the hell outta things and I'm
not the only one that's experienced this.

A lot of other people do
agree with me as well. The portrait mode from
the front facing camera, I don't really use it
anymore because right now, it is that bad. It just kinda blurs out
the ears and especially the sides of my beard. If you like portrait mode
from a front facing camera, get the Pixel 2 or Pixel
2 XL, that does the best.

Hopefully the portrait mode
will improve it's software, however, but when it comes
to the front facing camera in general, this is something
that I've noticed on many iPhones before and
I'm not sure why they over expose so much and
I really wish that Apple applied the same sort of magic that they're using on
the rear facing camera on the front facing
camera when it comes to dynamic range and that would
make it so much better. One of the things I don't
like about recording on the iPhone is the audio. Now we still don't have
stereo audio recording on the iPhone. This is really something
that we should have in 2017 and it's something that we
have on many other devices.

You will see in some of
my camera comparisons where I have a side by
side with a smartphone that has stereo audio
recording and that just sounds so much better. So, audio recording on the
iPhone X when it comes to video is okay but it's not great. Now we briefly touched on iOS
11 earlier on in the video and iOS 11 is generally okay
but, it is still basic for me. I like the control sensor
but the notifications annoy the absolute hell out of me.

I don't know why Apple do
this but just look at this. I've got just Twitter
notifications which I left on for this demo and it's crazy. Like my whole notifications
have been taking over just over the past few
hours and I really wish that Apple grouped these notifications together like we have on Android. Just copy Android.

I know a lot of you guys are gonna say, "Hey Saf, you're just an Android fanboy." But honestly, I've spoken to
so many Apple users as well and they've also said
that it'd be so much nicer if Apple just grouped all of
these notifications together and then you can expand those
and see those more in detail if you want but just
having, just look at that, this is crazy, it's just unusable for me. Are Apple gonna do anything
about it anytime soon? Probably not but it's just
something that I definitely need to address. Now battery life for me on
the iPhone X has actually been really good and I think
it's gonna get most people through the day without any issues and you also have wireless
charging as well as fast charging this time. Now, I personally don't
use wireless charging much, I'll be completely honest.

But fast charging is something
that I have been using for quite a few years now
and I'm also glad that the iPhone X had fast charging. The biggest issue here is, and
this is something that I've ranted about before in
this video and that is that you need to buy the
fast charger separately and that cost 74 in the UK, which is absolutely insane. You can get smartphones
for 74 these days. Every other manufacturer
includes fast charging out of the box.

Apple does not and they
charge you a very big premium for that as well and that's
on top of what you're already paying for the iPhone
X and as you guys know, it's not cheap. You're looking at $1,000 or 1,000. This, once again, doesn't
make any sense to me because $1,000 plus taxes still
does not equal 1,000 pounds. It should be around about 900 mark and this pricing difference
is reflected on pretty much every other device out there.

Let's take the Samsung
Galaxy Note 8 for example. It's $950 in the US. In the UK, it's 870. That is reflected in the
price because the pound is stronger than the dollar
but, for some reason, Apple have decided that
unless you're in the US, you're gonna be paying
even more for the iPhone X.

And I really think that's unfair. So, yes, you guys already
knew that the iPhone X. Is expensive. Is it worth the thousand
pound, or thousand dollar price point? Personally in my opinion, I'm
gonna be completely honest.

I don't think it's worth this price. Why is that? It's because there's lots
of other devices out there which offer lots of great
features, some actually better than this for
almost half the price. Let's take the Samsung
Galaxy S8 for example. It's been widely praised across the board and that currently is
for about 550 on Amazon.

I'll leave a link in
the description below. The OnePlus 5T, which just
came out recently is 450. So, you could buy two
OnePlus 5T's and have 100 spare compared to the iPhone X. Now, I know a lot of
you guys are gonna say, "Saf, you're just being
really biased towards "Android here," but I'm
just being realistic here in terms of what you can get
and what else is out there.

Now, if you're part of the Apple ecosystem and you want the best
iPhone money can buy, then this is the one to go for. This is the best iPhone you
can buy and it's my favorite iPhone so far. I really do like it overall but, if this is out of your budget
and I know a lot of people for which this will be
out of their budget, then I would definitely
advise looking around because there's so many other good options our there right now. That's what I think anyway.

I know some of you guys
are gonna disagree with me. Once again, I do really like the iPhone X. I just think it's too expensive
for what you're getting. What do you guys think of the iPhone X? Definitely drop me a comment
below and let me know.

iPhone X Review - Is it worth buying in 2018

iPhone X Review - Is it worth buying in 2018

It's an obvious question Why would I Apple even release the iPhone 8, if they were planning to release the X on the very same day? If you're considering to upgrade your iPhone 7!
Then the X is an obvious choice Like Apple tagged this product to lead the next generation of design! It's time for us to break down its pros and cons and find out whether it's worth all the hype?! This could be the iPhone's biggest ever design change from over a decade. It's certainly a huge and heavy product!
Weighing around 174 grams There are a lot of changes here and there!
No home button, no fingerprint scanner and yes bye-bye! Headphone jack! The notch was a serious issue when I first started using it, but later on I really got used to it. So it isn't that bad! I would like to appreciate Apple for taking a bold decision from stepping out from its traditional design pattern. Its gonna take us a while to get used to it, but it's gonna give you a whole new experience Obviously the biggest striking factor of the
smartphone is the OLED display up front!
It has a pixel resolution of 2436 1125 at 458 pixels per inch The display is beautiful! It might not be the best out there in the market, but definitely the best screen on an iPhone The 5.8 OLED display is properly calibrated and blazes into your eyes with rich sharpness and color depth We tested out few 4k and 360 degree videos And I must say it was pretty amazing! The device is the same size as the iPhone aid but just has an enlarged screen.

Using the bezel space properly and the devices also guarantees IP67 rating: splash, water and dust resistance But you seriously need to get a case, because the entire back panel is made of glass and according CNETs drop test the iPhone 10 cracked at a single three foot drop and There goes another $10 for the case. If you tend to break the display. There is gonna charge your own two $279 Excluding Apple care. The device is packed with A11 Bionic chip and also an M11 motion coprocessor Apple claims to have integrated its specialized neural engine in its chip The efficiency of the chip can be very well experienced with its face ID.

Its a facial recognition system developed by Apple, that has just replaced your Touch ID. The unlocking experience is super fast without any hassle the Animoji was set as a well added point for marketing the device. It gives you a very new experience of using the emojis in your chat. They're just not animated emojis But emojis that are animated by your actions with sheer accuracy of the facial mapping using its front camera.

Which means this could have been ported to any other iPhone, but yes, what more can you expect from Apple? Apple claims to have integrated a true depth camera in its new iPhone X. The device has a 12 megapixel Wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens like every other iPhones the camera is top-notch The pictures are classically textured. They look natural with proper color depth. IPhone X has a f/2.4 Aperture whereas the iPhone 8 plus has a f/2.8.

Lens Usually low lighting means more grains. But that's not the case with the iPhone 10. The images have stunning quality and no visible grains which is pretty impressive I give a full hearted thumbs-up for the iPhone X's camera. If you're considering to accept the price and buy the iPhone X.

Then you certainly telling Apple that it's perfectly fine to overprice a product You can argue by saying it has a great display | great camera. You just need to check out the other competitors They certainly have similar displays and better cameras might not with a perfect price tag But certainly not overpriced and hey! To go from 64GB to 256GB. You literally have to spend 150 dollars more, which certainly doesn't make sense But come on you can buy three ps4 at the price Okay, there are four important things that Apple calls evolution wireless charging, edge to edge display, overprice means premium, and hey a camera bump! I certainly feel that the smartphone industry has been drifting to build amazing devices. The myth saying high priced means better.

Is definitely been proved wrong by many Taiwan and Chinese manufacturers like the OnePlus or Xiaomi. I would certainly say, if you can look around, you'll definitely find much better devices So it would be a wise decision to wait for the next gen, or simply choose the Samsung S8 Either way, thanks for watching. Yours truly Droid Sector.

After rigorous testing,
Consumer Reports found Apple's new flagship
phone, the $1,000 glass front and back iPhone X, is one of the
best smartphones you can buy. But it scored slightly lower
than the less expensive iPhone 8 and 8 Plus
mainly because it is more susceptible to breakage. The final test scores of the
iPhone 8 and X are very close. So which phone is right for you? It really comes down
to personal preference.

A closer look at
our test results and a side-by-side comparison of
the phones can help you decide. Simply put-- performance
in the tumble test made the biggest difference
between the iPhone X and the iPhone 8 scores. We've tested several iPhone
X's in our tumbling drum. One phone suffered major
glass damage on the back after 100 drops.

After 50, two others had
defects in their screens. The front glass did
not crack on any of the iPhone X's we tested. Bottom line-- we
highly recommend using a case since repairs
without AppleCare insurance can cost hundreds of dollars. Both the iPhone 8 models-- also made with glass
on the front and back-- passed the tumble test
with only a few scrapes.

The iPhone X's aren't the first
phones to fail our tumble test. The Samsung Galaxy Note
8's and S8's failed with broken backs and displays. In our other durability
tests, the iPhone X. Did just fine when scratched and
checked for water resistance.

The same goes for
the iPhone 8's. Our tests show iPhones have
shorter battery life when compared to other phones
like the Samsung Galaxy S8 which has 26 hours of battery. In our tests, the
iPhone X's battery lasted 19 and 1/2 hours
when this robotic arm made calls, surfed the
web, took pictures, and simulated using
GPS navigation. The iPhone 8's battery
lasted 19 hours.

Both phones offer
wireless charging. The dual camera on the
back of the iPhone X. Is the best we've tested
and is the top scoring camera in our ratings. The wide angle and
telephoto cameras both have optical
image stabilization improving test shots compared
to previous iPhones including the 8.

Even though the 8 has
only a single back camera, it's the second camera
of the smartphones currently in our ratings. The iPhone X includes facial
recognition technology called Face ID which replaces
Apple's fingerprint technology Touch ID still on the iPhone 8. In our tests, we found
Face ID works very quickly and was not fooled by
tests meant to confuse it. Both phones can also be
unlocked using a six-digit code.

The X is slightly larger
than the 8 and has a 5.8-Inch display. The 8 is 4.7 Inches. The 8 plus-- 5.5 Inches. Because there's no
home button, the X.

Has a new set of swipes
and gesture commands that you'll have to learn
while the 8's retain the once familiar to Apple users. And finally, there's the cost. The iPhone X starts at $1,000. The 8 starts at $700.

In response to our
tumble test results, Apple confirms the iPhone
X's durability based on the company's quote
"rigorous real world testing" and said the phone is quote,
"made from the most durable glass ever in a smartphone." Subscribers can see our

iPhone X DROP TEST - The most Expensive glass ever on a smartphone!!

iPhone X DROP TEST - The most Expensive glass ever on a smartphone!!

So I've been giving Apple a hard time lately
over the construction of their recent iPhones because they are so expensive to replace. With the iPhone X, it's $549 to replace the
back glass. With the iPhone 8 Plus it's a little bit cheaper,
but still incredibly expensive. So today I'm going to put my money where my
mouth is and I have two brand new phones, the iPhone X and the iPhone 8 Plus.

Both of them have the glass backs with the
new construction design, and we're going going to drop them both with realistic drops and
see when they may or may not break. Remember that drop tests are never conclusive. With a larger sample size you can get a better
idea of what's going to happen. I have done two drop tests in the past with
regular sized iPhone 8's, but I have never dropped these two phones.

So it'll be interesting to see what happens. Plus I'll be attempting my own back glass
repairs on these broken phones, so I need broken phones in order to do that. So it's all for a good cause. Apple does claim to have the most durable
glass ever on a smartphone, so it'll be interesting to see what happens with this iPhone X and
the new iPhone 8 Plus.

Let's get started. [Intro] So like always, we'll have two smartphones. This is the Galaxy S8 Plus, and over here
we have the Google Pixel 2. Both of these will be recording in slow motion
as we do the drop test.

So I'll start with the iPhone 8 Plus. It also has an aluminum frame which is slightly
softer than stainless steel and can be pushed into the glass a little more easily. Now, both the iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone
X have a small plastic layer between the glass and the metal, but since aluminum gets pressed
in easier, I'm going to assume that this one breaks sooner. So I'm just going to set this on my leg.

Right now it's about 3 feet up or 1 meter
give or take. Both cameras are recording and I'll just stand
up. [Music] So after the first drop it looks like the
back is fine. We hit right up here on the corner next the
the camera bump.

But the back panel is fine and the front is
fine. Set that down. And we'll start playing with the iPhone X
or the iPhone 10  whatever you want to call it. This one does have the stainless steel rails
on the side, which is a little bit harder than aluminum.

So my assumption is that this is going to
break after the 8 Plus, but there's only one way to find out. I'll go ahead and set this on my leg, and
we will stand up. [Music] Looks like the back glass is totally fine. Front glass is still good.

Let's try it again. We'll do sitting down one more time because
this is the most common type of drop  just forgetting it's on your lap and then standing
up. [Music] And the back glass...This is amazing...The
back glass is completely shattered. I'm impressed at how shattered that is from
such a short drop.

Wow. So this brand new iPhone 8 Plus took only
two drops from about knee height as it slides off of my leg to completely shatter the back. And now we owe Apple a ton of money to replace
this thing. That is mind blowing.

This wouldn't be an issue if we could just
remove the back without destroying the camera, and replace it with a third party. But what Apple does is they replace the whole
housing of the phone, transferring over all the internal components because the back glass
does not separate from the back housing. Alright, now that the iPhone 8 Plus is completely
shattered, let's go back to the iPhone X. Once again, I think this one will last a little
bit longer because of that stainless steel frame, but let's find out.

It is on my leg. Standing up. [Music] It looks like the front is still fine. The back glass is still totally fine  no
damage.

So hopefully that stainless steel side is
absorbing the impact and not denting in to hit the glass. So the iPhone 8 Plus is completely shattered,
but we're going to do another drop test anyway and see how long it takes the front to shatter. Now I'll be pulling it out of my pocket and
dropping it from about waist high. [Music] That time around it did fall directly on the
screen as I flopped it out of my pocket.

From waist high, the front of the phone is
completely damaged, whether it's from the glass slightly protruding above the edge of
the aluminum right here, or just the aluminum getting pushed into the top edge of the glass
and breaking it that way. Either way, the front and the back of this
phone are completely damaged now from I think drops 2 and 3 of this drop test. So as far as most durable glass on a smartphone
ever, glass is still glass, and gravity is still gravity. But we're not done with the X yet.

Let's keep going. We'll pull it out of my pocket and let it
hit the ground. [Music] Alright, still nothing wrong with the X. We have complete, solid glass on the back
and no cracks on the front.

We'll do one more waist high drop with the
X since the 8 Plus has bit the dust. [Music] Yet again, waist-high. There is nothing wrong with the front of the
phone. Still zero cracks on the whole front side
of the device.

But on the back side, right next to the camera
hump, there's the smallest of nicks. So I'm going to assume that with the next
drop or a drop soon after, the whole back is going to shatter from that point because
once there's a weak point introduced into the glass, that's where all the damage happens. We'll do one more from about chest high. [Music] So I was wrong about where the glass was going
to crack.

It did not start from up by the camera hump,
it actually emanates from the bottom corner all the way up to the top. But now the back glass is shattered and we
owe Apple $549 to replace it. It's not because the components are expensive,
this back glass portion probably only costs about $20, it's the construction of the phone
that makes it expensive. It's is not removable and that's the bad part.

With Samsungs, you pay that $20 and get the
replacement part and you're good to go. So now the iPhone X/iPhone 10 has been damaged
from chest high. We're going to do one more, like if it drops
from your hand while it's up by you ear. I'm about 6 feet tall, about 2 meters give
or take, so let's see what happens.

[Music] So the front glass of the phone does have
damage in that bottom left corner. Nothing too drastic, but it is damaged. And the back is not just shattered everywhere. So overall I would say I'm pretty disappointed
in the construction of the Apple phone.

I think they look fantastic. I love the glass, I love the metal. The stainless steel is probably one of my
favorite phone materials of all time. But the way the back glass is adhered to the
phone is incredibly stupid.

It is not repairable and it is incredibly
expensive to replace for us as the consumers, which means there will be a ton of these phones
walking around in the wild with cracked backs from people who don't want to pay $500 to
replace them. So now that we know how the phones are constructed
and how fragile they are, it's time to make a decision. And to me, a case seems like a no-brainer. In my past videos I did have a case on one
of the phones that I was dropping and it lasted significantly longer than the naked phone.

And with the high price point cost of repair
on these phones, the risk is not worth the reward. Yeah, the phones look good naked, but they
don't last long naked. So yeah, I would say a case is mandatory on
both of these phones because you're basically buying a new phone with the price it costs
to repair it. Definitely a poor decision on Apple's part.

Let me know what you think though, down in
the comments. I'm curious, would you buy a phone like this? And if you would buy an extremely fragile
phone that's expensive to repair, would you walk around with it naked or would you put
a case on it? As always, thanks a ton for watching, and
I'll see you around..

- [Drew] This 1,000 dollar
marvel of technology, the iPhone X
is officially in stores. This premium device, of course,
comes with a premium price tag, so you know you're getting
top-of-the-line everything when you shell out 1,000 bucks
for this phone but How strong is it? You are about to find out. - Testing, shooting, rolling
in three, two, one. What's up guys, Khristian here and today we have the world's
first extreme drop test on the iPhone X.

If you're new to the channel,
you might find this video a little bit extreme, because we
do stuff that nobody does. So, this is the drone that
we're going to use to make the drop test. We're gonna attach the iPhone X
to this drone. This drone is going to fly all
the way up to 1,000 feet, and then, it's going to
let it drop.

What's going to happen: Will the
phone crack, will it survive, will it explode? Well, there's only one way to
find out, right? So, let's go outside
and let's roll. - [Drew] So, first we're going
to attach a rope to the iPhone. Then it get's hooked up to the
drone and goes 1,000 feet into the air and then everybody
holds their breath as the see the phone come back
into the atmosphere and see if it can survive the impact. We love putting your favorite
smartphones to extreme tests to see how durable they really
are and this test is our favorite because if your phone can handle
this, it can handle anything.

- [Khristian] All right, guys,
here we go. - [Man] They said go a little
bit that way or that way. - I'm gonna take this thing
straight ahead. Alright guys, here we have the
iPhone X, ready to be dropped from 1,000 feet,
let's go! Check this out, guys,
we are still going up.

We have the Maverick and here
we have Inspire 2. Both are going up,
it looks amazing. Try to get the water in the
background with the Maverick. Okay? Okay, get ready, guys,
five seconds.

Five, four, three, two, one. Let it drop. - [Man] Fly it really slow,
dude. Yeah.

- [Khristian] The camera
is still working. - Amazing.
- The phone is It's still recording. - Oh, the back doesn't look
so good, though. - [Khristian] The back,
let's check the back.

Whoa! Check the back. - It's still fucking
recording, crazy. - [Khristian] This phone
is so strong, the screen is fully intact;
the camera is still working. In fact, the the video
is still recording.

Maybe I'll upload this
to my Instagram, so you can follow me there,
if you want to see it. But I'm shaking, guys,
it's too much adrenaline. But check this out, the back
is completely destroyed. The phone dropped here.

That's where it hit
the pavement. And that's right here, this hole
was in this part; amazing. We're going to clean it up
and we're going to check if there are anymore damages. - [Drew] It's hard to believe but after a 1,000 foot drop,
the screen is still intact.

This screen does seem like
it's a little stronger than the previous generations. Apple's really pulled out all
the stops for this phone. It helped that the phone
landed on its back instead of the front too,
of course. But the impact was pretty tough
on the back of the phone.

The glass is in hundreds
of pieces. And you can see that Apple
trying to make this thing as thin as possible meant that
they really went thin on the back glass too. I mean, you can pretty much
see through the phone now. The frame is bent a little bit
on the upper left side but, overall, we are super
impressed that this phone took that hit so well.

It's still fully functional. All the rest of the components
remain intact. And you could still use it as
a phone if you wanted too. Now, not many phones are able
to survive a 1,000 foot drop.

We've seen a lot worse and the
iPhone X is one of the strongest phones we've ever tested. So, if it can survive a drop
like that, oh yeah, it can survive anything. Just make sure you got a case, because the back glass
is pretty fragile. So, we give the iPhone X an
extreme durability test score of nine out of 10.

Oh, by the way, we've partnered
up with The Hack Spot and we're giving away a brand
new, 64 gigabyte iPhone X. You just need to be a subscriber
of both channels and leave a comment
on this video. Check out all the details below. Oh, and by the way, we've got
a lot of cool videos coming up, so if you're new here, be sure
to hit the subscribe button, turn on notifications, so you
can be the first to know next time we put one of your
favorite electronics to an extreme durability test.

This is Drew from Unlock River
hoping your phone had a much better day than ours..

iPHONE X CAMERA REVIEW - Lok tests all the new features of the Apple iPhone X camera

iPHONE X CAMERA REVIEW - Lok tests all the new features of the Apple iPhone X camera

I happened to be in London. I don't
come to London just to get the iPhone 10. But I just happened to be in London. See
the thing is, if I stay in Hong Kong...

I won't get it for after like a few weeks
because in Hong Kong.. Everyone is getting it for resell. I'm
getting it from Carphone warehouse. Carphone Warehouse is a shop in UK and
as the name suggested they probably from the 80s when...

Carphone was the smartphone at that time. Thank you! Well well well the box will be all the same. All the contents will be all the same... ...But this has to be done! Let's do it! We are going to focus on photography -  the camera off the phone,  but I probably ...Still should go through some of the  biggest changes on the phone quickly.

So of course one of the biggest new flash trick is a face ID recognition. Recognition of your face to unlock the phone. It use 'whatever-million' dots to project it on the face.... ...Actually forget all that
information! That's for geeks like me to think about but what does it really do
in real life? So first, of course, it recognizes you
just like that.

What about on the table? What?! Oh..... Really? I have to do that every
single time? With my old phone I always unlock it just like that Oh my god, that's a bit disappointing. In the dark... No problem.

One of the best things is that if you are wearing gloves... ...It works with Face ID. So it works most of the time. You don't really have to hold it up to
your face every single time The only thing I miss is unlocking it when it is on the table just like touch ID.

Gone is the home button -  you are relying on new
gesture control. Actually, getting used to those gesture controls actually I think they are pretty intuitive. Now what we really care about
the camera! You used to only get two lenses with the 'Plus' size iPhone, but now the
iPhone X err... IPhone ten..

Has got it in the body not much bigger than the smaller iPhone
8. With the tele lens macro shots are surprisingly good. 'That's really close with the tele lens' Wow even the tele lens has got optical image
stabilisation. Previously on iphone 7 only the...

...Wide-angle lens has optical image
stabilization After a whole year, the portrait mode works really quite well Auto white balance really does a great
job especially different light source in... ...This photo mixed together. As I mentioned in my iPhone 8 review, the portrait... ...Lighting effects I really only find the
studio effect useful - the other stuff...

...Just a bit weird. I've actually not too much
of a trouble reaching the top of the phone Like if I want to tap HDR, actually its fine, kind of,  but of
course it's easier than the iPhone 8 Plus iPhone 8 Plus you are like 'urrrghhh urrghh' In my opinion the portrait mode works best when the ... ...Effect is so natural rather than a crazy
amount of blurriness. Of course I have to try slow-motion and I come to this skate park! Just like the iPhone 8, the 10 can now do 240 FPS in Full HD.

If you slow it down to 24 fps that's one tenth of the speed. Now I'm in Camden Town, in Camden Lock... Oh hang on.... Its the Mad Hatter! With the help of face ID Sensor, the front-facing camera now can now do portrait mode as well...

... But not as good as the rear facing camera, but then my head got a little bit blurred out. Now this is the rear facing camera... Hello cyclist.

Light I'm inside a car Night time in a car without any lighting is  comparable with many real cameras like from a couple... ... Of years ago. The same goes to still image quality and these are all handheld shots.

You can always find a phone takes better
photos than iPhone, but a new iPhone is... ...Always a guarantee as one of the best. So for everyone lucky enough to get one... ...Enjoy it as much as you can because
there will be an even better one coming...

...Out in less than a year from now..

iPhone X Australian Review

iPhone X Australian Review

Hi there,
Alex Kidman from finder with our video review of the brand new Apple iPhone X. Now whilst it's spelled with an X it is the iPhone 10 according to the official
Apple guidelines, although I figure if you're spending this much on a smart
phone you can call it whatever you like. Call it Harold, call it anything. Stylistically it's almost a little bit of a throwback to the original iPhone
models because it's got this curved design around the side and if you look at an
original iPhone you can kind of see where the DNA is coming from.

It's also
the first iPhone with an OLED screen rather than the LCD screens that Apple's used to-date on all of its phones up to the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. OLEDs are really, really good at colour reproduction and especially blacks and
that's particularly important because of the notch
at the top of the iPhone 10. It's there to house the camera array but it creates
these little horns or ears at the sides and they're not terribly useful. I'm not
exactly sure why Apple didn't simply opt to have a full black bar across the top
housing that but they're there some apps handle them better than others.

An app
that renders them black, you essentially don't notice them, if an app renders them
in white however they're absolutely present and not all apps obey the fact that the notch is
there. Of course the other big thing with the iPhone X is that there's no home
button anymore. That's because it's been replaced by the notch with face ID for
unlocking. Now face ID is incredibly cool tech if you like your cool tech and it
mostly works, I've got to say it mostly works because it's a bit like when Apple
first introduced touch ID.

When it works it's absolutely magical, you just hold it
up, it unlocks and then you can tap to slide up or you can tap to authenticate and
that's grand and when it doesn't you left wiggling the phone in front of
your face like a bit of an idiot. There's still some work here, it's still very
much version one technology. The loss of the home button also means of course
that you need to learn new gestures for things like unlocking, and screen capture
and even hard resetting the phone, and there's a bit of muscle memory involved
there. It's not too tough to get to grips with and it's definitely a sign of where
Apple's going in the future.

This is definitely Apple's future-looking phone. On the camera front you get a slight beef up in camera specs across from
the 8 Plus. The most notable things being that both of the lenses at the
back have optical image stabilisation, which gives them slightly better low-light
performance, slightly faster focusing. There's not a lot in it but there is a
little.

On the front as well you now gain the ability to shoot selfies in Apple's
portrait mode. Now portrait mode is still in beta, the way the lighting works and
that's true for selfies as well, so sometimes it's grand and sometimes it
can get a little bit dodgy especially if you use the stage lighting effects. It's
still a very, very good camera as you'd expect from a premium device like this. On the battery front battery life is really good - for an iPhone - it is slightly
better than the 8 but not quite as good as the 8 Plus which was exactly what
Apple said it would be.

All day battery life is entirely
feasible if you're a moderate user and predictably if you're a heavy user you
can send this thing flat as fast as you'd want to. It's still not up there
with the absolute best of the best, which is a little disappointing giving its
absolute premium price tag. The other big new feature that face ID enables is animoji and facial mapping because the way face ID works is it takes an infrared
scan of your face and it can then use that within the camera to overlay visual
effects in apps like Snapchat or for Apple's animoji, which are iMessage
animated emoji. So you can finally be that talking poo you've always dreamed
of being.

So should you buy the iPhone 10? Well that's a tough call to make because
of the price of this handset. It's significantly more expensive then
any other handset regularly on the market today. And that brings with it
some challenges. If you absolutely want to have the latest and greatest iPhone,
if you want to have the latest tech that Apple has and you want a vision of where
they're headed in the future, then yep the iPhone X is the phone to buy.

This
is clearly what 2018's iPhones will look like and act like, although predictably probably a little faster and face ID will probably work a little
bit better. But there is that trap in that you are in the version one phase of
this technology and this approach. Apple will refine it over time, this is the
first take at it. It's a bit like buying that first iPhone, 10 years ago.

There's a
vision of what could be but it's not quite fully refined. So this is the best iPhone you can buy but it's not even necessarily the best
value iPhone, and realistically if you just want an iPhone, if you want to stay
within the iOS family I would strongly argue that the 8 Plus is actually the phone to buy this year, because you're investing in tried and true technology. The touch ID works pretty much flawlessly. The battery life is actually
better than on the iPhone X.

The camera isn't quite as sharp but it's still pretty
darned excellent. And you're paying several hundred dollars less for the same
processor, for the same performance in apps, and you're not dealing with the
screen notch for example. But if you're buying it for yourself, consider and compare to
make the best possible choice. Now we've got our full review of this phone up at
finder so I encourage you to go check it out there.

Thanks for watching..
