Three songs I've had on repeat lately

These songs aren't exactly new or anything, but I've been enjoying them nonetheless.

1. "You're A Wolf" by Sea Wolf
This song is everything that's right about the music on the Gossip Girl soundtracks. A perfect mix of brooding guitar, mellowed-out strings, and sadly crooning vocals, Sea Wolf manages to conjure images of a cloudy, melancholy day spent walking through Central Park--or at least that's what I think whenever I listen to it.

2. "French Vacation" by The Walkmen
You can tell that autumn is fast approaching, because suddenly I'm listening to all these chill, mellow songs. At times The Walkmen seem to conjure fellow post-punk outfit Interpol. I don't know what I like more about this song: Hamilton Leithauser's playfully lackadaisical vocals, or the musical dreamscape created by the murmuring guitars and the stumbling drumbeat.

3. "We Throw Parties, You Throw Knives" by Los Campesinos!
This last song is just plain fun. Los Campesinos! is made up of a bunch of Welsh college students,
and their quirky, artsy nature clearly shines through in this song. Oh, and the music video is a bit,
er, trippy.
