Michael Bay, Sam Witwicky's Dad on set of Transformers 2

As you may already know, Transformers 2 is currently filming in and around Philadelphia, most notably at a University of Pennsylvania frat house and at a student dorm building known as the Quad. I was lucky enough to pass by both locations, and snap a few pictures.

Here is Michael Bay as he is leaving the Quad after a long day of shooting:

Mr. Bay was kind enough to sign autographs and chat briefly with fans who had been waiting outside in the hot sun for at least half an hour.

Here is Kevin Dunn, who plays Sam Witwicky's father in the film:

This is the U. Penn frat house known as "The Castle." Crew have spent the last two days here setting up lights, equipment, and props, getting ready for shooting to take place.

Lastly, here's a close-up of the sign on the frat house, a decoration for one of the movie's scenes.
Note: An anonymous source informed me that they are no longer using the graffiti banner for any frat house scenes. Also, another person claims that the graffiti banner is actually left over from a party that took place at the frat house during the semester. (Director Michael Bay opted instead to use a fraternity flag above the front entrance.)

The sign reads:
Saturday 10pm
Graffiti
18 to Vandalize
21 to Scandalize

Just an FYI, Bay removed the "graffiti" theme from the frat party. (about 5 mins b4 we were to start shooting) So don't be surprised when you don't see the sign. I can't reveal how I know this except to say that I've been with the movie since the 1st day of shooting.

Good to know! And come to think of it, I didn't see that graffiti sign when they shot the exterior frat house scenes on Friday. Thanks for the heads up.

The sign on the frat house was left over from a frat party that was held earlier this semester. It never was never intended to be a part of the movie. I know this because I'm a recent Penn graduate and know that the brothers were probably just too lazy to take it down.

Okay, that makes sense. I've walked by that frat house several times this year, but for some reason I didn't notice the banner until they started filming there.

I love Transformers! I remember watching the movie when I was pregnant with my first son. And before I gave birth to my second, I watched it with my husband, too! :-)
